Butt Welded Pipe

ABOUT OUR MULTILAYER PIPES
Understanding Our Pipe Codes
Our multilayer pipe models follow a simple and consistent labeling format to help identify the pipe's dimensions, application, and welding method.
Example: 12 16 H-B
This code can be interpreted as:
-
12 – Inner diameter: 12 mm
-
16 – Outer diameter: 16 mm
-
H – Application: Hot water / Heating pipe
-
B – Welding method: Butt-welded
Pipe Classification Guide
By Application
-
C = Cold Water Pipe
-
H = Hot Water / Heating Pipe
-
G = Gas Pipe
By Welding Method
-
A = Overlap Welded
-
B = Butt Welded
Each code suffix indicates a unique pipe type. For example:
-
C-B → Cold Water Pipe, Butt-Welded
-
H-B → Hot Water Pipe, Butt-Welded
-
G-B → Gas Pipe, Butt-Welded
Butt-welded pipes are known for their smooth inner surfaces, minimal risk of delamination, and excellent performance under pressure — especially in heating and gas distribution systems.
